Heckel’s Marina has made muskie tournament fishing history by offering $50,000.00 in bonus money. That’s right, if you buy a new tournament boat from Heckel’s Marina at either of their three locations (Eagle River, Mosinee, or Sun Prairie), for next two years you can earn an extra $50,000.00 when you compete in the Wisconsin Muskie Tour (WMT) during the 2008 and 2009 season. The $50,000.00 that Heckel’s Marina is offering is the largest cash bonus ever offered by a company for a muskie tournament or a muskie tournament circuit.Any team who buys a new boat (of any make) from Heckel’s Marina from August 11th, 2006 up to the day before each event (for the 2008 season), is eligible to win the Heckel’s Cup bonus award. At each of the three WMT Major Open Championships (Badgerland Open Championship-June 7 & 8, R.A.M.M. Cup Open Championship-August 16 & 17, and the Autumn Classic Open Championship-September 13 & 14), $5,000.00 will be awarded to the Heckel’s Cup qualifying team who wins the event, for a total of $15,000.00 at the WMT’s Major Open Championships. During the WMT’s Invitational Championship on September 27 & 28, $10,000.00 will be awarded to the Heckel’s Cup qualifying team who wins the Invitational Championship and will be the overall winner of the 2008 Heckel’s Cup trophy. The total amount for a WMT competing Heckel’s Marina new boat owner in 2008 will then equal $25,000.00 and the same Heckel’s Marina boat owner will be able to win another $25,000.00 cash bonus also in 2009 for a total of $50,000.00.Since the WMT started eight years ago and within that time hosting 107 tournaments, Heckel’s Marina has been our partner in promoting the great sport of muskie fishing.
