Cody Northrop Wins NWT on Lake Sakakawea
Local angler Gary Hodge leads the Sakakawea National Walleye Tour with 24.99 pounds. After cursing the winds for the last week, mother nature through everyone a nice curve with calm conditions and high skies. Bites on big fish were there but few and far between, with anglers looking for 5 of the ‘right’ bites. Fish continue to move with a variety of tactics working. Everything from pitching lipless cranks to live bait rigging are producing. Stay tuned to OFM for continued coverage of the final day.
Congratulations to Pro angler Peter Schaefer on the win at this weekends NWT event in Sault Ste Marie. Peter weighed in 45.03 pounds during the two day event. First place co angler was Tyler Nickel with 35.25 pounds.
