NPAA members Matt Davis # 568, Mark Brumbaugh # 70, Dan Gies # 569 and Travis Hartman presented a fishing clinic on January 19th at Cleveland OH. Mid -American Boat Show.  The Kid’s fishing clinic kicked off with a power point presentation by Travis on the fish of Lake Erie, invasive species and how we can stop the spread of aquatic plants.  Prizes were awarded to kids that answered questions right about the different kinds of fish.

A total of 80 rod and reel combos were given to the kids that attended the event.  The combos were donated by the NPAA with assistance from the Future Angler Foundation and Pure Fishing (Shakespeare).  Goodie bags were also given out with tackle boxes with tackle, fish literature, and other sponsors donations.  The kids and parents were shown how to handle the rod and reel combos, how to tie on hooks or jigs and set the rod up to use and catch fish.  At the end of the clinic a group photo was taken and the group of NPAA Members that hosted the clinic were thanked by the kids and their parents.

Sponsors of the event were: Ranger Boats, Minn Kota / Humminbird, Crown Battery, Church Tackle, NPAA, Future Angler Foundation, Pure Fishing (Shakespeare), Hutch’s Fishing Tackle, Bad Boy bait and tackle, Buckeye Sports Center, and South Bend Tackle
