MTN HOME, Ark. (January 28, 2013) – JL Marine Systems Inc., the manufacturer of Power Pole shallow water anchor systems, has joined the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour as an official sponsor for the 2013 season. Power Pole makes yet another impressive addition to the group of sponsors already committed to the NWT as it heads towards its inaugural season, scheduled to kick-off in April of 2013.

“We’re extremely fortunate to have such a good group of sponsors heading into 2013, and Power Pole is a big part of that,” said Anthony Wright, Tournament Director. “Their shallow water anchors are a phenomenal product and with their new Drift Paddle, the response from NWT anglers has been incredible.”

As part of the agreement, Power Pole will offer $400 Captains Cash contingency money at all National Walleye Tour events. Anglers must simply register with the program and win a NWT tournament using their Power Pole shallow water anchor or drift paddle.

The all-new Power Pole Drift Paddle replaces the age-old drift sock, giving multi-species anglers and drift fishermen an entirely new level of boat control. In addition, the Drift Paddle also helps reduce boat rocking while fishing in heavy wind. The increased stability and innovative design was recognized with a Best of Show award at the 2012 ICAST introduction.

“The National Walleye Tour is a great platform to promote our new Drift Paddle and Captains Cash contingency program,” said Power Pole Vice President Robert Shamblin. “We really look forward to the feedback and exposure we’ll get from some of the best multi-species anglers on the planet.”

The all-new National Walleye Tour will begin April 26, 2013 and will include a total of three qualifying events, plus a year-end Championship. The NWT website is already accepting registrations for all events online. The website offers numerous details on the circuit, including official rules, tournament structure, payout and incentives.

Each NWT event features over 100 percent payback. A fully rigged Ranger Boat, plus cash, is guaranteed for first place at each event – a total value of $57,000. Anglers that fish all three regular season events, in addition to the top points leaders, will gain entry to the three day, entry fee Championship.

The new circuit also includes unprecedented television and media coverage, allowing a national audience to watch the action unfold from each event throughout the season. Airing on multiple networks, the National Walleye Tour will be seen on The Texas Channel, World Fishing Network, Pursuit Channel, as well as the new NBC Sports Network.
