Koep’s Walleye Challenge – Sponsored by Warrior Boats, LLC & Chevrolet of Glenwood

Koep’s in Glenwood, MN  will be hosting the Koep’s Walleye Challenge this year, sponsored by Warrior Boats, LLC and Chevrolet of Glenwood.  This will be a 2 day tournament on September 8 & 9, 2012 fishing beautiful Lake Minnewaska in Glenwood.  Lake Minnewaska is nestled in the middle of Pope County, with 7,110 acres to fish, and has a very aggressive walleye stocking program, so this should be a great event. 

The Koep’s Walleye Challenge will be a will be a two man team format, with the entry fee of $200.00 and a limit of 50 boats, so get your entry in early. The tournament will run from 7:00 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. both days and Warrior Boats, LLC will also be putting up contingency money.  Every team will be entered into the big fish pot worth $100.00  both days.  Prizes for the top 3 finishes are as follows – 1st – $4,000.00, 2nd-$3,000.00 3rd – $1,000.00 – and paying back to 10th place. (Paybacks subject to change based on number of entries.)  Torgy’s Bar and Grill will be the official weigh-in location on Lake Minnewaska for the tournament.
 
On Saturday afternoon Warrior Boats, LLC will be putting on a Ride & Drive event. This event will take place from 12:00 till 5:00 on Lake Minnewaska. Warrior Boats will have a representative on hand to take you out on the lake in a new 2013 Warrior boat. You can ride along and see the smooth ride and performance you will get from their boats, or drive it yourself with a company representative with you. If you miss the event, they will have a Warrior Boat at the weigh in both days for you to take a look at. If there is inclement weather this event will take place on Sunday.

In addition to the tournament the NPAA will be hosting a kids fishing clinic on Saturday right after the weigh-in, approximately 4:00.  This event is open to kids from 4 to 16 years of age.  During the clinic the kids will learn some basic fishing tips from some of the top pro’s in the industry.  There will also be many prizes giving to the kids, including t-shirts, and tackle.
