NPAA members Matt Davis #568 and Dan Gies #569 help with a fishing derby in Avon Ohio in early June.  The derby was presented by the Lions Club of Avon and was held at Northgate park-Avon Community Park at the large pond present.  This was for kids 12 and under and they were required to bring your own gear.  All the fish caught were measured and tallied for each kid.  Prizes donated by local businesses were awarded for the most length caught of different fish species.

In all 153 kids and about 115 adults present for a great morning of fishing.  Matt and Dan helped with measuring fish, baiting hooks, casting, and fishing advice.  They also brought their Ranger 621 and a small amount of fishing equipment was on display.   And yes, some fish stories were exchanged with the kids.  What a great time with lots of smiles and laughs all morning.

And NO, no kids were hooked.
