Anglers Insight Marketing Announced the First Invitations to the 2009 AIM International Walleye Championship.

Plymouth, WI – June 17, 2009 – Anglers Insight Marketing LLC™ (AIM) announced today the first two invitations to the 2009 AIM International Walleye Championship™ were awarded to the winners of the recent Mercury National Walleye Tournament on Lake Winnebago.

The 2009 AIM International Walleye Championship™ will be held on Lake Winnibigosh in northern Minnesota on September 2 – 4, 2009. AIM Pro Anglers will qualify to compete in this year-end championship by entering at least one of the three 2009 AIM Pro Walleye Series™ qualifying events.

For the 2009 inaugural season of the AIM Pro Walleye Series™, anglers may also qualify to enter based on their record in dozens of “AIM Sanctioned Series”. Randy Reek, AIM Operations Director, reported, “To date, we have commitments from over 30 regional walleye tournament organizations that will be offering invitations to their top teams. These tournaments include both Canadian and U.S. tournaments – from Alberta to Texas, Wyoming to Pennsylvania.”

“The majority of the AIM Sanctioned Series are tournament circuits with multiple events, and the invitations to the Championship will be extended to their ‘Team of the Year’. However, we are also welcoming the winners of the premier single-event tournaments. We are pleased to announce that the first invitations for 2009 will go to the winners of the recent Mercury National Walleye Tournament – Jim Hughes and Matt Jacobson.”

The AIM Sanctioned Series is designed to offer the competitors in these events an added incentive for participation. Many may look at competing in the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ as a long-term future goal. But the partnership with the AIM Sanctioned Series tournaments gives the top anglers the opportunity to compete in 2009 against the top AIM Pro Anglers – for the same top payouts!

The annual Mercury National Walleye Tournament brought 297 teams of anglers to Lake Winnebago and the Wolf River Chain. This top walleye fishery is literally in the “backyard” of Mercury Marine, a main Marketing Partner of the AIM Pro Walleye Series™. AIM congratulates Jim Hughes and Matt Jacobson on their impressive victory, with a 10 walleye weight of 42.34 pounds, to best the huge field of Mercury competitors.
