NPAA member Greg Karch #138 hosted Thrivent’s Reel’em In Family Fishing Day at Doty Park in Neenah, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 23rd.  The event was kicked-off with Greg’s fishing seminar ‘Fishing Basics’ which covered; safety, details on open and closed face fishing combo’s, casting, fishing identification, knots, bait, parts of a fish,

Aquatic Invasive Species message and what Greg’s tackle box consisted of when he was a youth.  The families then had a great time fishing.  NPAA member Craig Huss #262 and Greg Karch helped the families with fishing and registering the fish.  Many fish were caught including a couple really nice bass.  Following fishing a lunch was served.

After Lunch, prizes were awarded for questions from the seminar, the biggest and most in three age categories for both boys and girls.  These events would not be possible without the support of these sponsors: Thrivent, Pure Fishing (Berkley and Shakespeare), Dave’s Musky Club, Badger Sportsman Magazine, Lake-Link, Plano, Mercury, Off Shore Tackle Company, TTI Blakemore Fishing Group and The Reel Shot who donated the bait.  Together we are growing the sport!!!
