Here’s a look at the boundaries for this weeks Bassmaster Elite Green Bay Challenge.

Per the State of Wisconsin Fishing Tournament Conditions permit Green Bay official tournament waters are:

From Green Bay headed up the western shore no boats allowed above Splinter Causeway break wall at the north side of the mouth of the Oconto River (44.895228, -87.830245).

From Green Bay headed east no boats allowed above the Sherwood Point Lighthouse (44.893161, -87.434638) towards Sturgeon Bay.

The red line drawn straight line between these two coordinates. No boats allowed north of that line. No boats allowed above the first Bridge (S) on the Oconto River. No boats allowed within 200 feet of DePere Dam on the Fox River in downtown Green Bay. No locking above DePere Dam.

Tournament waters on the east side include Little Sturgeon Bay, Rileys Bay, and Sand Bay. Sturgeon Bay WILL NOT be part of Tournament waters. Only water open to public fishing will be considered tournament waters. Any waters north of the line from the mouth of The Oconto River to Sherwood Point Lighthouse are not considered tournament waters and can be accessed at any time during off limits. IMPORTANT – Under the State of Wisconsin permit for both La Crosse and Green Bay specific provisions state “Any released fish must be able to swim away under its own power”.
