Day 2 take off at the NWT in Marinette, WI, showed us as beautiful a morning as you could ask for, mild with partly cloudy skies giving way to overcast and a few rain drops. Anglers hoping that the upward trend of the current walleye bite continues into today as bag weights yesterday exceeded expectations based on a tough practice. Tournament veteran Keith Kavajecz told me that he was witnessing the abundant alewive population slowly leaving the mud flats during the week, and that he expected the walleye bite to pick up accordingly. Other than that, not much talk from the guys in the mix. We should be skirting the northern edge of a massive storm front today. Weigh in should be fun.
