Bogart, Ga. – QDMA’s Whitetail Expo, the only deer hunting show in the nation that focuses on deer and land management, opens to the public July 26 and 27 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, part of the QDMA National Convention.

Presented by Chevrolet, the 2008 QDMA Whitetail Expo will be nearly twice as big as last year’s show, featuring a “who’s who” list of nationally recognized companies in every area of deer management and hunting, from food plots and trail cameras to camouflage and optics.

If you plant food plots, more than 25 exhibitors will catch your eye, including the most well-known names in food plot seed blends, herbicides, soil amendments, and specialized food plot equipment for ATVs and tractors such as no-till drills and lime spreaders. Nationally known manufacturers of trail cameras will be displaying and offering for sale the latest models of digital game cameras. Those hunters hoping to improve deer habitat through tree planting will enjoy talking to a number of different tree and shrub nurseries and suppliers as well as makers of tree-planting accessories like tubes and weed mats. Other suppliers of habitat equipment will also be part of the Expo, including chainsaws, other power tools, trucks, tractors, ATVs and utility vehicles. Specialized exhibitors can help with concerns like predator control, pond management, shopping for hunting land, and land financing. For deer managers seeking extra guidance from a professional, a number of wildlife consultants will be exhibiting and available for questions. If minerals or supplemental nutrition products are on your shopping list, you can pick those up as well. And all of this is before you even consider dozens of exhibitors offering deer hunting gear, including optics, stands, boots and apparel, game calls, custom rifles, taxidermy and outfitting services. An added bonus is “The Shed,” the official store of QDMA, featuring the complete line of QDMA’s deer management equipment, educational books, DVDs and posters, and QDMA logo apparel. A complete list of Whitetail Expo vendors is available at www.QDMA.com.

The Whitetail Expo also includes in-show seminars and appearances by Lee and Tiffany Lakosky, Bill Jordan, Team Primos, the Hunter’s Specialty crew, and record-holding trick archer Randy Oitker. Bring along your hunting partners age 15 or under, as they get in free, and there’s also plenty for them to do and learn about in the Kid’s Area, including the popular and fun grunt-call contests and LaserShot simulator.

Admission to QDMA’s Whitetail Expo is $10 for adults, free for hunters age 15 and under, and a coupon for “buy-one-get-one-free” admission is available at www.QDMA.com. Expo hours are Saturday, July 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The QDMA National Convention and Whitetail Expo will take place at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. For more information about the many other events and educational opportunities at the Convention, visit www.QDMA.com.
