DNR Asks Anglers to Fish Locally as Season Begins

RHINELANDER – Saturday marked the start of Wisconsin’s fishing season.
Anglers from across the state headed to their favorite spots to cast a line.
At Hodag Park in Rhinelander, some people spent the weekend out on the lake, and others took advantage of the park’s fishing pier. DNR Conservation Warden Supervisor Chris Bartelt says fishing is a perfect outdoor activity in the midst of a pandemic.
