Take a Kid Ice Fishing Weekend in Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says this weekend, Minnesota residents can fish for free. It is “Take a Kid Ice Fishing” weekend beginning January 19 through Monday, January 21. The DNR says Minnesota residents age 16 or older can fish or dark-house spear without an angling or spearing license if they take a child along. The child must be under the age of 16.
