Forestville, WI – St. Cloud, MN based Powrtran is the newest supporting partner of the National Professional Anglers Association.  They join nearly 50 companies that actively back the efforts of NPAA, an organization dedicated to education, growing the sport of fishing and increasing the professionalism of its members.

Powrtran joined forces with the NPAA, according to marketing director Steve Hiemenz, “To increase awareness and gain exposure for what we feel is the best product out there.”  They engineer and manufacture a complete line of jack plates, power steering units, power trim and tilt units, outboard brackets, and boat accessories.  All parts are manufactured in the USA.

“We are customer oriented and take calls, review installations and offer our technical expertise one-on-one with customers,” Hiemenz said.  Most sales are online or over the phone.  He added, “We try to make everything so it’s adjustable for older outboards.  Our products can mount on pretty much any boat.”

Powrtran products are electro-mechanically activated, not hydraulic.  Hiemenz said as a result they’re stronger, provide better lift, don’t drain batteries, are built to last, have no hydraulic hoses and are constructed to be bullet-proof.

One of their most popular products is Python Steering, an electric steering system for kicker outboards.  “With wireless remote steering, a beefier steering linkage that is two seconds turn-to-turn, this simple, compact unit fits almost any boat,” he said.

“Our company is excited to be involved in the fishing community.  We know we have the products anglers need, and are here to serve them at powrtran.com,” Hiemenz said.  NPAA executive director Pat Neu echoed that sentiment, and said, “From the largest boat and outboard companies to companies like Powrtran, we welcome them to the NPAA family.  We know that the growing member base will appreciate this new addition to the Supporting Partner ranks.”
