The National Professional Anglers Association recently announced that long-time member Kristine Houtman has moved into a Supporting Partnership role at the NPAA with her new company, Fish On Kids Books.  This new venture will give NPAA members an opportunity to sell Fish On Kids Books to their families, friends, local schools and libraries, as a fund raiser for the non-profit NPAA.

Fish On Kids Books

Houtman’s books are geared to children in the second through the sixth grade, with a focus on outdoor adventures surrounding fishing, camping and hunting. Kristine brings considerable credibility to her new writing career after serving as marketing director for North American Media Group and directing the Masters Walleye Circuit and other events.

She said, “NPAA members can get outdoor books into the hands of the young people – and influence them positively.  With the funds earned, the NPAA will be able to host more youth clinics and place rods and reels into the hands of more kids.”   Her first book is “A Whirlwind Opener”.  Others include “Driving me Crazy”, and “Spare the Rod”.

Participating NPAA members will purchase a sales kit from the organization headquarters that includes the first book, “A Whirlwind Opener”.  Those members will take orders for the series of books and the books will be shipped directly to the members for delivery to the purchasers by
mid-December.  “Think Christmas gifts and remember the book sales will help our organization fund the NPAA Youth Events in 2011. At the same time these books will expose the next generation to the outdoor lifestyle we all love, this is a very exciting program.”, said NPAA executive director Pat Neu. Details on the program will be e-mailed to the NPAA Members and posted under the news section of the NPAA website www.npaa.net on October 14th.

The NPAA is a non-profit organization focused on growing the sport of fishing and increasing the professionalism of its members.  Its supporting partners include Northland Fishing Tackle, Navionics, Mercury Marine, Evinrude Outboards, Lund Boats, Ranger Boats, Off-Shore Tackle, Fin-Tech Tackle, Berkley, AIM Pro-Walleye Series, Masters Walleye Circuit, FLW Outdoors, Frabill, U.S. Forest Service, Liddle Marketing, FPS Financial Planning Services, Do-it Corp., Optima Batteries, John Butts Outdoors, Pasha Lake Cabins, Oahe Wings and Walleyes Guide Service, Outdoor First Media, Advanced Tex Screen Printing, Worldwide Marine Underwriters, ProStaffGear.com, and Fish On Kids Books.  More NPAA member and association news can be viewed at www.npaa.net.
