NPAA Member/Angler Educator Greg Karch Presented His Fishing Basics seminar at the Huntn & Fishn Expo

NPAA member Greg Karch #138 presented his Fishing Basics seminar during the Huntn & Fishn Expo which was held this past weekend during Wisconsin’s Free Fishing Weekend.   The Huntn & Fishn Expo was held at Devil’s Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin.  Greg’s seminar ‘Fishing Basic’s  covered: safety, details on open- and closed-face fishing combos, casting, fishing identification, knots, bait, parts of a fish and essential items to have in a tackle box.   The seminar ended with the AIS message of ‘Clean, Drain and Dry’.  

Throughout the day, Greg assisted many different families that were fishing for their very first time.  Two youth attending the event, caught their very first fish.  Greg said ‘I really enjoy introducing youth and families to fishing  and look forward to them enjoying the sport in the future’.

The NPAA along with Greg’s sponsors donated many fishing related items such as NPAA Future Angler shirts, fishing combos, hats and tackle that were given to the kids.  Together we are growing the great sport of fishing!!
