Wareham, Mass.  – Navionics, the leader in electronic charting and navigation data, announced today that Medallion Instrumentation Systems, a custom designer and manufacturer of premium boat dashboard display and management systems, has fully integrated Navionics chart support into its product lineup. Viper with Navionics Cartography is the latest custom offering from Medallion, adding to the exceptional value and marketable features for the OEM to the Viper System.

Medallion’s Viper support for Navionics Gold Marine Charts and HotMaps Premium Lake Maps allows users to access the most accurate and detailed cartography available, providing them with the ability to use the Viper display as a primary navigation device. Gold marine charts encompass the coastal waters, rivers and bays of the Americas, Europe, Greenland, Africa, Asia and Oceania. HotMaps Premium lake maps offer detailed charts of over 14,000 North American lakes plus exclusive surveys and high-resolution maps of over 700 top U.S. tournament lakes and waters.

Medallion prides itself on providing custom solutions that are precisely tailored to the needs of their customer. The Medallion Viper System will be pre-installed on most models from MasterCraft Boat Company, a premium manufacturer of inboard wakeboarding, water skiing and luxury performance boats.

“It was a pleasure working with Navionics as we developed the Viper’s navigation application. Navionics provided a firm foundation to our application and provided superior support of their products,” said Rick Bertalan, Advanced Technology Manager, Medallion.

“Medallion Instrumentation creates the perfect blend of form and functionality by handling many critical onboard tasks in a very small space,” says Bill Eastwood Global Marketing Manager for Navionics. “As such Medallion with Navionics brings our charting to a new set of consumers without the need to add another device into the helm area. We are very excited to be part of Medallion’s Instrumentation Solutions”.
