The Devils Lake, ND Fishing Report for the week of June 2nd to the 8th. Brought to you by the legendary Perch Patrol Guide Service. Please like and follow to receive our weekly fishing reports and daily updates.

The first week of June is now in the books. For the most part it was a good week of fishing here at the Devil’s Lake Basin. We are now transitioning from the spring bite to the more stable summer patterns that will be with us for the next 3 months. Unusually warm weather saw water temperatures quickly rise this week. Depending on what part of the basin our guides and clients were fishing in, water temps were reported between 60 and 71 degrees. That equates to more active walleyes resulting in both better numbers and overall size of the fish being caught. While leeches and bobbers continue to take fish effectively, bottom bouncers and spinners, casting and trolling crankbaits or plastic are now producing good results. Most of the fish being taken now are caught in shallow depths. Weed lines, shallow structure, expansive flats, points and windblown shorelines are now holding hungry walleye. In addition some very good northern pike are also feeding in these locations. Simply put, with the warmer temperatures and summer patterns this is a great time to be fishing the Devils Lake Basin.

Check out this weeks posted photos here and you will see that fish of all sizes have been caught by our many customers. Good limits of eater size walleye and some larger walleye and pike have been caught and released.
