Casting For Africa

Located in Wausau is an organization of citizens who are passionate about helping others in need. There is no question there are few places in the world that are in more need than portions of Africa. Regardless of circumstance, all of us who are born in the U.S. have basic care and available resources to live and become successful. Unfortunately that is not so elsewhere. So the organization called (www.foundationforhopeinafrica.org) has begun fundraising to build schools, wells, orphanage, ponds, clinics and more. Donations have purchased medicine, school supplies, tools, farm animals and more. 100% of the money raised goes to the projects, nobody is on payroll. The people that go there, pay their own way and see first hand, the money go towards the projects they are suppose to. It’s a great charity that makes a huge difference that those close to me have seen first hand.
This year’s project requires $50,000 in funding to build an orphanage in Tanzania for children who have mostly lost their family due to the aids epidemic. $25,000 of the project has already been donated by a Stevens Point business. The other $25,000 will be raised through fundraisers and thanks to the musky fishing industry, we’ll be able to raise a good chunk of that.
My wife and I had been asked to help raise $1,000 and with the help of all of the good hearted people I know in musky fishing, we figured we could do more. So I started a fundraiser call CASTING FOR AFRICA.
CASTING FOR AFRICA is a group from the fishing industry who have come together to donate their products or services and sell raffle tickets for $10 for their donation. Below is the current list of those who have donated.

We are currently in the process of printing the tickets. When finished each of these individuals will have tickets for their donations which will sell for $10. In addition, volunteers will be spending time selling tickets at Gander Mtn in Wausau.
