Uncut Angling’s Aaron Wiebe Joins Warrior To Promote Its Boats In Canada, U.S.

Canadian Aaron Wiebe is known across there and the northern U.S for his somewhat irreverent and always funny, engaging, and informative approach to promoting fishing through his widely followed Uncut Angling YouTube videos and Facebook page.

Today, Wiebe and Melrose, Minnesota’s Warrior Boats are teaming up to help introduce more anglers to Warrior’s line of family friendly, rugged and seaworthy craft.

“Aaron will be our marketing specialist and brand representative in Canada to help us promote Warrior across the Great White North,” said Chuck Barth, president and co-owner of Warrior. “He brings both a wide knowledge of fishing, and makes fishing fun in his videos and on Facebook. He’ll help us get the word out about Warrior quality to his followers, and we’ll be working so close together, he’ll almost be wearing Warrior underwear!”

Since September 2011, Wiebe has entertained, informed and has sought to bring his love of fishing and the outdoors to a new generation of anglers online.

He’s caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of new converts to fishing for everything with fins and gills in the region.

He’ll now be doing so in a new Warrior V2090 Backtroller, powered by a Yamaha 250 SHO, and equipped with Garmin electronics. You’ll be seeing him in his new ride featured on his shows, at tournaments throughout Canada and the northern tier of U.S. states, and at other events to get the word out about Warrior’s ruggedness, dependability and family friendly versatility.

“I’ve always been a massive advocate of tiller boats, and the 2090 is known across the industry as the king of tillers, so owning one is a natural progression,” Wiebe said. “Backtrolling is my favorite way to fish, and the 2090 is built specifically for that.”

”Warrior is not a commonly used boat here, but it is ideal for the large lakes across the region; Lake Winnipeg is the same size as Lake Erie,” Wiebe added.

Warrior’s great reputation for taking weather will come in handy especially on some of the area’s northernmost water, he added. My favorite places to fish are Lake of
the Woods, Lake Winnipeg, Clearwater, Wekusko, Sturgeon Bay, Reindeer, Tobin, and Diefenbaker. You’re often at the mercy of the weather and can only expect two or three days of fishing on a five-day fishing trip. With the Warrior hull though, that turns into for or five days of fishing on a five-day trip.”

Barth said that by showing off that combination of rough water comfort, great list of standard equipment like a 47-gallon fuel tank, aerated livewell, a bow cooler, 14 foot long rod storage shelves, combined with rod lockers to hold up to 28 rods, Wiebe will be reaching an entirely new market. Currently, Warrior’s only Canadian dealership is in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
