Quick Release Bracket for Trolling Motors
Titusville, Florida (May 11, 2021) – Introducing Power Pux, the industry’s first powered quick-release bracket for GPS-guided trolling motors and a Boating Industry’s 2021 Top 50 Product. Power Pux eliminates the need for a long power cable and exposed plugs.
Those in the boating industry have used a variety of marine plugs that eventually fail because of corrosion. Power Pux solves this issue, providing an integrated power plug within the assembly — for a clean, uncluttered deck and protected electrical connection.

Power Pux comes fully assembled and includes a waterproof cap to protect the connection when not in use. It features stainless steel hardware to secure the bracket to the trolling motor and the boat deck. Power Pux is designed for years of service and improved experience on the water.
“I fished the trolling motor hard to test the connection for going on two years, sometimes six-plus hours of use in a single day, and it has never had one hiccup,” said Jerry Perez, a full-time fishing guide in the Florida Keys, Everglades National Park, and the Louisiana marsh. “There has been no visible corrosion build-up. All I’ve had to do is use the anti-corrosion spray once when we installed it, and it is still going strong.”
“I just knew there had to be a better way,” said Paul Payne, Power Pux founder. “I began to ask myself, ‘What if you could just set your trolling motor on the boat and it would already be plugged in?’ We started with an idea and ended in a revolutionary product for the boating industry.”
In 2013, Payne began researching and working with anglers and engineers to develop a foolproof product. By August of 2018, they began testing the first prototype.
