Ashland City, Tennessee – For anglers and families alike, Triton Boats is redefining the traditional, center console bay boat. The all-new 240 LTS represents a dynamic new entry in the category. From its innovative high-performance pad bottom hull to its ergonomic angler-friendly interior, this totally new Triton raises the bar in bay boat performance and fishability to unprecedented levels.

Triton’s new 240 LTS (“Light Tackle Series”) spans 24 feet in length and sports a massive 8.5 -foot beam for rock-solid stability and exceptional interior room. It rates for outboards ranging from 200 through 350 hp and has a fuel capacity of 96 gallons. With a draft of only 13 inches, this new Triton is capable of slipping into shallow rivers and tidal backwaters where trophy redfish, stripers and snook lurk; yet its incredibly soft, dry ride make it suitable for the occasional offshore fishing foray as well.

“When we introduced our state-of-the-art, 26-foot 260 LTS PRO bay boat last year, we were immediately deluged with requests from saltwater anglers for a similar boat in the popular 24-foot format,” Triton president Earl Bentz explained. “Our engineering staff went to work designing and tooling the 240 LTS from the ground up, incorporating a host of exciting performance and fishing features that make it the most capable 24-foot bay boat on the water.” Bentz highlighted the new Triton’s key features:

* Pad bottom hull – “Unlike typical bay boats, the 240 LTS features a pad bottom hull, a design that originated on Triton’s legendary high performance tournament bass boats,” Bentz said. “This proven hull design delivers a lighting-fast hole shot, awesome acceleration, blazing top-end speed, enhanced fuel economy, longer cruising range, and a level of rough-water riding comfort previously unattainable in a saltwater boat. In addition, we engineered the hull with an extra-wide outside chine that actually turns water downward, virtually eliminating interior spray and contributing to the boat’s exceptionally soft ride. Given the way our 240 LTS rides and performs, it’s fully capable of comfortable long-distance runs for offshore species like dolphin and wahoo on all but the roughest days. Performance is further enhanced via the standard Atlas hydraulic jackplate, which permits instant fine-tuning of engine height.”

* Casting decks – “The 240’s extra-long, super-wide front casting deck is a standout feature for team tournament anglers who demand ample elbow room when casting. A handy bow panel features 6-gauge trolling motor wiring for maximum thrust when fishing in wind and current. The front deck houses a massive 64-gallon fish box that can also be used for dry storage, an anchor locker, and two roomy rod storage lockers. The rear deck features port and starboard rear jump seats for incredible passenger comfort while running across windy bays, a 60-gallon aerated livewell, and a 12-gallon baitwell. All deck lids are smooth-finished, non-warping fiberglass; all deck surfaces have a nonskid finish.”

* Ergonomic console – “The 240’s custom-designed fiberglass console comes with full instrumentation, and the roomy dash provides ample space for flush-mounting your choice of marine electronics. Five stainless steel vertical rod holders are mounted on each side of the console, which also features an integrated recessed footrest for enhanced driver comfort. A large door in the front of the console provides easy access to batteries. The console also features a Plexiglas windshield, battery switch, 12-volt accessory plug and premium Edson stainless steel steering wheel and cup holder.

The console utilizes military-spec waterproof switches with waterproof LED indicator lights, and all wiring is protected by circuit breakers. A color-matched fiberglass leaning post features custom flip-up bolster seating and a padded backrest with a stainless steel grab rail and four additional rod holders. A 65-quart Yeti Tundra cooler is located under the leaning post on a handy slide mount, allowing quick access to drinks and snacks.”

Bentz also indicated that the Triton 240 LTS features Full-Width Tri-Core wood-free composite construction and the company’s exclusive Zero Flex fully foamed stringer grid system for the ultimate in structural integrity. Seats, cleats and rod holders are mounted with glassed-in aluminum backing plates for extreme durability. The boat comes with a custom swim platform and an integrated boarding ladder, and carries a limited lifetime hull warranty.
