Lake of the Woods MN Fishing Report 4-11

Walleye fishing improving as we inch closer to the end of the walleye season on April 14th. Being aggressive was not working as well as a slow presentation in the cold 37° water. Some trophy walleyes caught along with keepers under 19.5″ as well. Bright colored jigs worked best along with UV colors. Shiners, chubs, and plastics all worked this weekend. River accesses are accessible by all boats.
Sturgeon fishing remained strong this past week and weekend. Use a 3-5 ounce no roll sinker
and a sturgeon rig loaded with crawlers. Please take good care of these prehistoric fish.
