Ripalip University

Attention all anglers! It’s time to enroll in the best university for on-the-water electronic gear education. What university is that? Why, it’s Ripalip University, of course.

Ripalip University is a mobile app that provides you with streamlined and updated gear information quickly and easily, including a quick start guide, advanced reference guide, networking, installation, and more.

The mobile app makes it convenient for you to retrieve information while on the water, where and when you need it the most. Personalize your own rig with all of your gear. Create an unlimited number of cheatsheet settings for your favorite bodies of water.

Ripalip owner and creator David Janiszewski has spent decades working on online educational products, along with cultivating his passion for fishing. The Ripalip University app spawned from his passion for education and his personal need for such a product.

“I’ve owned and operated online education products for 23 years,” says Janiszewski. “The Ripalip University app started as an idea from my own personal needs as an angler.

“I saw that the need for education as far as marine electronics was great. I’d read all sorts of posts on social media, and there were thousands of questions asked weekly about a variety of subjects as far as using electronics. Hundreds were the same questions. Clearly, there was a need to educate.”

So, in the fall of 2017, the Ripalip University app idea was born.

“I was attending a seminar from the Lindners about how to get into the fishing industry,” stated Janiszewski. “After listening to what was said, it dawned on me that a phone app would be the most convenient way to get the electronics information into an angler’s hands.

“Marrying my background in online education to my marine electronics knowledge (Ripalip also has a line of marine electronic covers and cleaning products) seemed like a logical thing to do.”

After working on the concept for a while, David decided he needed to get others involved to make this app a reality.

“It started in fits and spurts,” said Janiszewski. “I figured that I know what I don’t know. I researched tech experts and fishing experts and have four people helping out for subject matter.

“My education is in IT, so I’ve designed the app to be robust and flexible. It will upgrade without you having to constantly refresh. It’s all in real time. Anglers can now get their questions answered by using the Ripalip University app while they are in their boat when any problem or question arises.”

The Angler version of the app is free and the Pro version costs only $9.99 annually. Currently, you can browse through more than 150 products from Humminbird, Lowrance, Minn Kota, and Motorguide, eliminating the need to review cumbersome and lengthy manufacturer owner’s manuals or search YouTube for more information. Whether you are new to marine electronics, or have used them for years, you can find valuable tips about the settings of your gear. Get access to the quick start guide, advanced reference guide, installation and networking, resources, FAQs and videos.

We even added a place to enter and save all of your favorite settings once you get your screen dialed in, just in case you need to go back after making adjustments.

You don’t have to be a pro to use it! RipaLip University will offer two versions of the app. The free Angler version provides access to a Quick Start Guide and more for all Lowrance and Humminbird units. The paid Pro version unlocks the complete app for $9.99 per year.

The Ripalip App is available from Apple and Google stores. Check out https://www.ripalipuniversity.com/ for more information.
