Grand and Glorious Spring
In woodlots and field edges, lengthening daylight bubbles to the surface a blend of hormones that makes boy turkeys interested in girls and increasingly intolerant of each other. They should write more songs about the bravado that comes out in the strongest and strongest-willed of the gobblers, those that claim the rights to scream and holler and carry on and when we watch we see the inspiration for much of the dancing and costume of human ceremony.
