Melrose, MN–Warrior Boats, owned and built by anglers, for anglers, will partner with Yamaha Marine to power its full line of boats now offered through a growing network of nearly two-dozen dealers from Montana to Ohio.

“We are extremely stoked to welcome Yamaha back into the Warrior family as one of our outboard motor suppliers,” said Kent Andersen, national sales manager.  “As Warrior continues to add to its dealership network, linking with Yamaha Marine is big, allowing us to offer even more options to our purchasers,” Andersen added.

Warrior, which has almost tripled its 2012 sales so far in 2013, will offer the full range of fuel-efficient Yamaha engines on its boats, from the F9.9 kicker, and the dual-overhead camshaft F90 tiller model, up to the F300 Offshore Four-Stroke V6.

“There aren’t very many in the business that are able to offer the full range of four engine manufacturers that we can provide anglers and our growing list of dealers,” added David A. Andersen, who counts winning the 2005 Professional Walleye Tour championship among his many top 10 finishes.

Andersen is a Warrior co-owner, and has campaigned Warrior boats in tournaments since 1997, and will run his this season in tournaments across the Midwest, including the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour. Kent Andersen also will be fishing NWT events from a Warrior 2090BT.

Warrior will offer Yamaha power on all its lines of four tiller, five dual console and two side console models, from its 17-foot 1783BT tiller model, to the top-of-the-line 21-21DC, 21-foot dual console.

Besides the Andersens, several other pros this season will be at the helm of Warrior boats. Sauk Centre MN, resident Pete “Mr. Tiller” Harsh will be running a 2090BT Warrior in the Cabela’s NWT series as well, and will also be using it in his other job as a professional guide on North Dakota’s Devils Lake.

Gem Lake, MN walleye pro Robert Cardenas will be campaigning a V-203DC Warrior on the Cabela’s NWT, and 2011 AIM Pro Walleye Series Angler of The Year walleye pro Brett King also will be fishing out of a V-203DC Warrior.

On the weekend prior to NWT tournaments, the public will also have the opportunity to experience Warrior boats free during special ride-and drive events. Watch for details prior to each appearance.
