Forestville, WI – The annual National Professional Anglers Association conference is set for Jan. 8-10, 2016 in Wisconsin Dells.  The popular event attracts marine and fishing tackle leaders plus hundreds of anglers dedicated to growing the sport.

“This event is for anglers who are passionate about fishing, and want to learn how to make a difference to the future of the sport.  Our members and conference attendees are already influencing others through seminars and youth fishing clinics, guide trips, fishing tournaments, and all make fishing a major part of their lives.” said Pat Neu, NPAA executive director.

The NPAA conference schedule will take place primarily on Friday and Saturday.  “Since this is the kick-off get-together of the year, we wanted to allow more time for anglers to visit the many industry display booths, welcome new members and catch-up with old friends,” Neu said.  “This conference is gearing up to be the best-ever, and will include seminars from experts in the fishing business on topics that will allow anglers to create a successful business plan leveraging their passion for the sport of fishing.”

Registration will take place Friday January 8th starting at 1 p.m., with industry display booths open all day.  Break-out sessions for supporting partners and interested anglers are also scheduled.  The association’s annual business meeting will occur at 5 p.m., followed by a “Meet and Greet” party sponsored by Worldwide Marine Insurance.

Saturday’s sessions have been described by past attendees as lessons from the guys and gals who have lived and learned on the water.  Sharing these life-lessons, a panel of respected speakers will “tell all.”  Neu said, “This conference is designed for industry veterans and new members.  Even non-members are welcome.”  The day will conclude with an annual fund-raising banquet for the Future Angler Foundation, which is included in the conference fee.  The conference concludes Sunday morning with supporting partner break-out sessions and a Doctor Sonar school.

The Chula Vista resort is known for hosting conferences and families, and has a large waterpark.  “The special room rate will include water park passes so bring the family,” Neu said.  The resort is about 50 miles north of Madison and 150 miles east of the Twin Cities.  More information and special room rates are available at www.chulavistaresort.com.
