FREE Family Fishing Event at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s helps families discover the joys of fishing
WHAT: To celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris is challenging families to put down their digital devices and get outside to discover the joys of fishing this Father’s Day. To help connect more kids to the great outdoors, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s are donating more than 25,000 rods and reels to nonprofit organizations that help kids from all backgrounds connect to the great outdoors
The nationwide movement, Gone Fishing, features two weekends of free, family-friendly activities June 11-12 and 18-19 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s locations across North America.
WHEN: June 11-12 and 18-19, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

ACTIVITIES: Free, family-friendly activities include:
Free Catch-And-Release Ponds: Kids can experience the excitement of fishing at in-store catch-and-release ponds and earn an FLW (Fishing League Worldwide) “First Fish Certificate” to celebrate the achievement.
Free Digital Photo Download: Capture the memory of this fishing experience with a special digital photo opp delivered directly to your email.
Free Giveaways: After completing the catch-and-release pond, kids will receive free a free fishing-themed giveaway while supplies last.
