Learn 2 Fish With Us, Angler Educator and NPAA member Greg Karch #138  presented his Fishing Basics seminar to third graders at Westside Elementary in Kimberly, Wisconsin this past Friday.  Prior to the seminar the third graders reviewed the Learn 2 Fish With Us website to learn more about Greg and the big fish he has caught, along with watching a few of his how to video’s.

Friday afternoon, the third graders came with questions for Greg such as; what was the biggest fish you have caught, how fast does your boat go and many more!!!!  Greg then presented his ‘Fishing Basics’  which reviews: safety, open and closed spinning combo’s, casting, fishing presentations, bait, knots, parts of a fish, fish identification, ‘Clean Drain Dry’ and conservation.

After the seminar Greg handed out NPAA Future Pro shirts.  One student asked, ‘Greg, would sign my shirt?’ and he said sure.  All of sudden there was a line and Greg had writer’s cramp!!!  Greg said, ‘It’s all about making this a special day for them’!!!

Greg’s sponsors donated many fishing related items such as NPAA Future Angler shirts and educational books that were given to the kids.  Together we are growing the great sport of fishing by educating the youth on fishing and how to protect our waterways!!!  Greg sponsors include NPAA, Future Angler Foundation,  Dave’s Musky Club, Shakespeare, Berkley, Plano, Frabill, Mercury, Triton Boats, The Boat Doc, Off Shore Tackle Company, Northland Tackle, TTI Blakemore Fishing Group, Navionics, Maui Jim and The Reel Shot.

Greg has launched a website www.Learn2FishWithUs.com which will educate the beginner and experienced anglers through seminars, how to video’s and links to educational articles.  Greg’s Fishing Clinics are always free to the public.  So if you or a group you know is looking for a Fishing Clinic in 2014 contact Greg Karch though his website.
