Plymouth, WI – July 25, 2012
Team Yamaha goes 1 and 2 at the first ever Pro Team Challenge in Oconto, WI July 20-22, 2012.
Yamaha Pro Joe Okada and his father David Okada came from behind to take the AIM Pro Team Challenge title on the Bay of Green Bay for their first major win and $23,000 in cash.
The second place spot and $10,000 in cash is owned by Yamaha Pro Robert Blosser and his brother Josh Blosser.
This AIM event was a 100% payout and paid the top 25% of the field. 57 teams also participated in the Big Fish / Big Basket cash pools that pay out 3 places. Big Fish honors and $713 went to the team of Kevin and Jason Ellman for their 30.5” walleye. Big Basket honors and $713 belongs to the Pro Team of James Peterson and Greg Josephs.

With the AIM CRR format, AIM officials conduct a final audit and verification of the score cards and fish pictures for all the Pros and Pro Teams cashing a check for all three days.
The AIM pro Challenge format was extremely well received, and reports are AIM may be considering the format for several events in 2013. One sentiment was unanimous; Oconto would be a preferred AIM Pro Team Challenge location again for next year.
