Plymouth, WI – April 11, 2011
AIM has partnered with Hatcams to promote their new video camera mounting system. This unique product combines a mount built into the brim of a cap. Hatcams will be utilized to capture more live action from the 2011 AIM Pro Walleye Series tournaments.
Hatcams was born from an obsession for fishing and hunting. Randy Peterson, President and Founder of Hatcams, has always been an active sportsman who wouldn’t go on an outdoor excursion without a camera. He not only loved fishing and hunting, but also capturing the memories of these activities to share with family and friends. Unfortunately, photos couldn’t capture the full experience. He wanted video, but it was too difficult to capture while enjoying these activities. Because another person had to film Randy, they either missed out on the action or didn’t have the right angle and missed the catch. When hunting or fishing alone, filming himself was practically impossible. That is when Randy developed a method of hands free video recording; a method he patented as Hatcams.
The Hatcam is the only product on the market that allows you to inexpensively capture the moment through your own eyes and ears, all while having both hands free. Today’s light weight video cameras (and cell phones!) include a tripod mounting socket. This threaded socket allows your camera to mount directly to the Hatcam.
Hatcams are not only perfect for outdoor activities – like catching trophy walleyes – but also indoor uses as well. From hobbies and handyman work to professional uses and instructional videos, Hatcams have been used for an endless variety of purposes. There is no limit to the things you can film with the Hatcam!
AIM will be utilizing Hatcams to collect more video footage from the 2011 AIM Pro Walleye Series. The AIM Pro Anglers will be encouraged to record their activities before, during, and after the tournaments. This video content will be added to the expanded AIM Video Library and shared with Hatcam.
Anglers Insight Marketing, LLC will conduct five walleye tournaments in 2011. These events include the three qualifying tournaments of the AIM Pro Walleye Series and the season-ending AIM International Walleye Championship™. These events are a Pro-Am format where the AIM Pro Anglers are paired with a different Co-angler for each day of the three-day tournaments. AIM will also conduct a year-end tournament for the top teams from the AIM “Sanctioned Series”. The AIM International Team Championship™ will place the top teams from tournament organizations across the U.S. and Canada in direct competition.
