Saturday, May 19th is the date for the 7th annual ‘City Auto Glass Walleye Classic, presented by American Family Insurance’, to be held on Lake Vermilion out of the marina at Fortune Bay Casino.
Two-angler teams will compete on one of the top walleye lakes in the state, with the winning team taking home a guaranteed $10,000 first place prize! Thousands more in cash prizes will be awarded, along with great prizes like depth finders, rods, reels, tackle, and more! This non-profit tournament is held annually to raise money for scholarships and other donations for area kids.
Also this year, the tournament will feature the fishing skills of four men’s hockey coaches from the WCHA, including….Scott Sandelin of UMD, Dean Blais from Nebraska-Omaha, Bob Motzko of St. Cloud State, and Tom Serratore of Bemidji State.
Other major sponsors of this tournament include Marine General Supply, Timbuktu Marine, WDIO-TV, Charter Media, and Fortune Bay Resort Casino.
