Big muskie caught on Lake of the Woods in Nestor Falls, ON on 7/18/2015
Blind figure-8 catch: On this cast, I had a 3-footer follow, but turned and dove down before it started into the fig 8. I shoved my rod tip almost up to the reel seat into the lake and did my fig-8 at depth with no hook-up. As I stood back up and brought my bucktail to the surface, this 47.75"er was trailing close behind. Just below the surface I snapped my bucktail forward which triggered a light strike that was just enough to secure it until my buddy, Scott, could get it int he bag. My bucktail fell free in that same instant! Good stuff!
