Well, another great Northwoods Wisconsin tournament is in the books now. The PMTT Mercury Marine Summer Challenge on Three Lakes/Eagle River was close to breaking the record previously set in 2021 at 91 muskies caught and released. This year, the field caught and released 83 muskies and that was with a shorten day, due to bad weather at takeoff on Saturday morning. The event was won by the team of Dick Heckel & Rory Tuff, who caught 5 fish. With 31 muskies filling out the Top Ten alone, we had triples that didn’t even make it into the Top Ten and 46 teams registering 83 muskies. So if your looking to fish in our last qualifying event, do wait to sign up, with this many teams catching fish, there could be a rush of signups, especially with teams that want to fish in the Championship, because you have to fish in at least two events and be in the top 50 point teams to qualify for the Championship.
