MuskieFIRST will will provide full coverage for the Dr. Ed Crossman Muskie Symposium in Indianapolis at the The Marten House and Lilly Conference Center, 1801 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana on October 28th through the 30th, 2005. Coverage will include photographs, video, audio interviews with the participants, and a compilation of information we will publish in the article section at MuskieFIRST.The 2005 Symposium is the second hosted by Muskies Inc. The first International Muskie Symposium was held in Lacrosse back in 1984, and resulted in a dramatic increase of public awareness of the Muskie’s range, importance to the sport fishery, plus provided a forum for the top minds in the Muskie management arena an opportunity to exchange critical information. A book, ‘Managing Muskies’ ( American Fisheries Society), was released soon after that event. It is an understatement to say this is historically one of the most important events ever with an anticipated major impact for the future of Muskie management in North America.Following is the event schedule for the Dr.Ed Crossman International Muskie Symposium:International Muskie Symposium / Tentative Event Schedule:Friday 10/28/056:00 pm Get Acquainted Cocktail Party 7:00 pm WelcomeGeneral Session (Multi Media) / Lilly Conference Center Special Presentation, Margaret Crossman with John Casselman John Casselman 7:30 8:30 pm (1) Maintaining muskellunge populations and quality sports fisheries: A biological basis for setting size limits and determining minimum ultimate length or trophy standard.
