Future Muskie Anglers were Educated On the Fishing Basics At The Milwaukee Muskie Expo

This past Sunday was Kid’s day at the Milwaukee Muskie Expo!!!  The day started out with Certified Angler Educator Greg Karch and NPAA Member #138 and Karen Karch #121, hosting a fishing seminar that introduced youth and families to the sport of fishing.  Over forty youth and their parents attended the ‘Fishing Basics’ seminar which reviewed fishing safety, spin cast and spinning combos, setting the hook, casting, knots, fish identification, parts of a fish, bait, catch and release, and the AIS message of ‘Clean, Drain and Dry’.  Each youth attending the Fishing Basics seminar had a choice of a Shakespeare Fishing Combo or a NPAA Future Pro Shirt which were donated by the National Professional Anglers Association and the Future Angler Foundation, which is on a mission to grow the sport of fishing!!!

Greg would like to thank the NPAA and Future Angler Foundation for the fishing goodies,  NPAA members Karen Karch and Sean Freund for their help, along with Greg’s personal sponsors which include: Dave’s Musky Club, Shakespeare, Berkley, Plano, Frabill, Mercury, Triton Boats, The Boat Doc, Off Shore Tackle Company, Northland Tackle, TTI Blakemore Fishing Group, Navionics, Maui Jim and The Reel Shot.
