Drew Cook of Quincy has made a name for himself as a rising star in bass fishing.

By Sunday, he hopes to add a championship trophy to his noteworthy reputation.

The Gadsden County native joins 75 of the best anglers in the world vying for supremacy in the Bassmaster Elite at St. Johns River. This event takes place Thursday through Sunday in Palatka. The grand prize for the event is $100,000.
