Registration Reminder for Two Great Florida High School Events

Don’t forget to register for the Florida Open/ SAF State Championship coming Saturday February 28th at Lake Toho in Kissimmee Florida. The Following weekend, March 8th there is a High School Redfish Tournament in Punta Gorda in conjunction with the IFA Redfish Series.

These two events are open to all High School anglers in the state and require no qualification other than being an SAF member.

To register go to highschoolfishing.org and click the yellow box on the right hand side that says “State Championships” when the schedule appears scroll down to Florida and then go across to where it says “register” and click that box. There is also an event “Details” area that you can click to see more specific information about each event.

For the Redfish event scroll down to the bottom of the schedule and you will see the information for that event as well as the registration tab. Again ,see the “Details” section for more specific information.

Registration/rules meeting for the Florida Open event at Lake Toho, Friday February 27th at Big Toho Marina in the Kissimmee City Park. Registration starts at 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a rules meeting to immediately follow. The top 10% of this field will advance on to the TBF/FLW High School Regional event in with a chance to advance on to the High School National Championship and a $10,000 scholarship.

Registration for the saltwater event is at 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday March 7th at Laishley at 120 Laishley Park Court in Punta Gorda Florida. (Look for the IFA Redfish Trailer)
