The “Flukemaster” Gene Jensen Joins Plano Prostaff

Grand Prairie, TX (August 31, 2020) YouTube sensation, best known as the “Flukemaster,” Gene Jensen is the newest member to join the ranks of the Plano Prostaff team. Gene’s desire to fish and teach others is amplified through his very popular YouTube channel, Flukemaster where he has over 383k subscribers and over 52 million views.

Gene started his career helping kids fish as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts. His passion for teaching others to fish grew from there. The term “Master” seemed to catch on and be widely viewed. Gene loves to fish the fluke worm, and the name “Flukemaster” was born.

As a resident of Rome, Georgia, and a father of four, Gene loves to fish close to home on Lake Guntersville and Chickamauga. Gene is passionate about bass fishing, but his videos are created to help everyone learn no matter the species. Intending to teach the world to fish, especially kids that may not have a parent or guardian that knows how to teach them to fish, the Flukemaster YouTube channel was created. He has provided videos for beginners with basics in knot tying to extremely detailed insight on bass behavior and the use of electronics. Gene leaves no topic uncovered and continues to provide highly educational information to help anglers of all skill-sets up their angling game.

About Me and My Channel

When the Flukemaster isn’t creating videos, you can find him competing in Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF) Tournaments around his region. Kayak fishing is a fast growing segment of the sport-fishing market with a relatively low entry cost making kayak fishing one of Gene’s favorite fishing experiences. But nothing compares to creating fishing memories for Gene more than the last time he was able to fish with his father or when he landed a 250lb grouper from a kayak.

Gene’s key to success is being organized at home and on the water. He doesn’t leave home without his Plano Sportsman Trunks, making traveling to and from events that much easier. “Being able to load up my 3600 Plano EDGE series to the brim for my kayak fishing is paramount as they fit perfectly in a kayak, and I have all the tackle I need for a tournament,” says Gene.

“We are very pleased to have the Flukemaster on our team. We believe that educating anglers keeps the sport alive, and Gene does as good of a job as anyone I have seen. His videos are excellent for any angler and are jam-packed with great insights on products and techniques to help anyone become a better angler,” said Chris Russell, Marketing Director of Plano Synergy’s Fishing Division. “We are seeing many new people try fishing this year. Watching a Flukemaster video can help them become successful anglers and grow our sport.”
