PONCA CITY, Okla. (Sept. 18, 2014) – The Federation properties management team announces the appointment of Dollahon PR to assist with marketing communications for its affiliations operating under the federationangler.com umbrella, anchored by The Bass Federation (TBF).

TBF is the oldest and largest grassroots fishing, youth fishing and conservation organization in North America, dating back to the formation of its first club in 1968 and growing to more than 2,000 clubs and 20,000 members today. TBF is 100 percent owned by its affiliated state federations.

“As TBF has changed with the times and we’ve taken advantage of expansion opportunities over the years, this federation conglomerate has grown to become the largest base of fishing youth and conservation organizations under one roof in the world,” said President/CEO Robert Cartlidge. “By our core principles, we direct a lot of attention to youth and conservation to ensure a healthy future for our natural resources, the fishing industry and the family-fun recreational activity of sport fishing. As a result, we have a lot of news to share and believe that Gary Dollahon and his team are a great fit to help us do that.”

Cartlidge and Dollahon have a history of working together. “I’ve interacted with Robert and other TBF leadership and members often during my 30-plus years in this industry, and I have great respect for the organization and their initiatives,” said Dollahon. “I’m especially proud of the group’s effort to elevate fishing as sanctioned school activities at high school and collegiate levels. Dollahon PR is pleased to help spread the word about the good things that come with The Federation’s involvement in fishing.”

Dollahon PR also brings additional fishing industry expertise in full-time employees Brandon Tuttle and Andrew Upshaw. Tuttle previously worked as a web designer for Cabela’s in Sidney, Neb. Upshaw was the first angler to qualify through the collegiate ranks to earn a spot and fish in the Bassmaster Classic (2012).

The Federation national office and Dollahon PR are both headquartered in Oklahoma; Federation offices are located in Ponca City and Dollahon PR in Tulsa.
