The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame (BFHOF) board of directors, at its just completed annual meeting, announced the arrival of a cash donation from leading fishing-tackle manufacturer PRADCO-Fishing. The BFHOF board is currently engaged in a rigorous campaign to raise the necessary funds to begin construction of the permanent Hall of Fame in Cullman, Ala., which will include a fishing-education center. The generosity of PRADCO-Fishing helped push the BFHOF’s campaign closer to its next mandatory funding plateau. The funding campaign operates under tightly controlled deadlines, and the board of directors salutes PRADCO-Fishing and its many employees for their support and generosity. The board also calls upon the rest of the industry to follow PRADCO-Fishing’s lead.

“This generous contribution made by Pradco is providing the much-needed seed capital to help us move closer to the kickoff of our major fundraising efforts for the Hall,” said Donald Howell, board member and BFHOF capital campaign chairman. “With additional support from past inductees and our efforts with those in the fishing and boating industry, the vision and goals we have for a facility to celebrate the sport of bass fishing will be a reality.”

“PRADCO-Fishing is proud to support the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, and the credit for this donation goes to EBSCO and Chairman of the Board Jim Stephens and President Dixon Brooke,” said Bruce Stanton, Vice President and General Manager of PRADCO-Fishing. “EBSCO is very conscientious and supportive of the fishing industry and the promotion of the lifestyle of fishing. Preservation and conservation are a fabric of EBSCO’s culture, so the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame is a natural organization to support.”

EBSCO is the parent company of PRADCO-Fishing, manufacturers and marketers of famous brand names such as Booyah, Rebel, Yum, Bomber and Lindy.

BFHOF president Sammy Lee said of the donation: “We’re honored and thrilled to have received such a generous show of support from one of the pillars of the fishing industry. The funding thresholds for our campaign are aggressive, and this donation couldn’t have come at a better time. PRADCO-Fishing and its brands symbolize the very essence of bass fishing – the past, present and future of the sport – and honestly, we’re just incredibly thankful to have them as a foundational partner in our quest to raise the funds to begin construction of the permanent Hall of Fame.”
