PONCA CITY, Okla. (July 12, 2016) – The Bass Federation (TBF), with our “Partner in Fishing” at FLW, announce the addition of a sixth National High School Open to its no-entry fee event lineup. The Northern Open will be held on Sunday, August 14 in conjunction with the Cabela’s North American Bass Circuit event on Mille Lacs Lake in Isle, Minn.

“We are always looking for opportunities to add more no-entry fee events to our schedule,” TBF National Youth Director, Mark Gintert, said. “The chance to work with our partners at Cabela’s and the North American Bass Circuit creates a winning situation for everyone, especially the growing base of high school anglers in the North.”

Registration will be on-line at highschoolfishing.org. Teams will check-in from 5-6pm Saturday, August 13 at the NABC trailer at Mac’s Twin Bay Resort located at 434 Vista Road, Isle, MN 56342. The rules meeting will immediately follow the check-in.
Take off will be at Mac’s Twin Bay Resort at 7am Sunday, August 14. Weigh-in will start at 3pm.
The event is open to all SAF anglers in the country. The top three teams will advance to the Central Conference Regional Championship in Lawrenceburg, Ind., in September with hopes of moving on to the High School National Championship the following spring.
