Congratulations to Pro angler Peter Schaefer on the win at this weekends NWT event in Sault Ste Marie. Peter weighed in 45.03 pounds during the two day event. First place co angler was Tyler Nickel with 35.25 pounds.
After The Win With Peter Schaefer
Pro angler Tommy Kemos talks about his second place fishing at the Soo NWT.
A long, grueling week of fishing the Soo has come to an end. While anglers really had to grind it out to catch fish, everyone loves this place. So much forage and hot/flat weather had fish mostly feeding early and late with mid-day action limited to specific windows. Harnesses and crawlers were the main presentation, with shivers and cranks catching fish too. Big bags in the tournament varied in approach with run and gun getting it done, while other anglers camped on spots waiting for that ‘window’. Off to North Dakota in a few short weeks where cooling water will hopefully get the fish in a pre-fall bite. Stay tuned to OFM for continued coverage of the National Walleye Tour in 2020.
Congrats to Pro Peter Schaefer & Co Tyler Nickel on winning the NWT Sault Ste Marie event! Final results are up…
