LEXINGTON, S.C., Aug. 19, 2019 — From hunting to fly fishing, and everywhere in between, the new Field watch was designed for the avid outdoorsman. Hook + Gaff Watch Company today announces the option to pre-order the Field watch online, scheduled to begin shipping on September 9, 2019.
Built with functional comfort for guys and girls who like to get out and enjoy the outdoors, the new Field watch touts all of the necessary features to endure any excursion. To minimize wrist and hand irritation, the Field watch keeps with the signature left-side crown orientation found on all Hook + Gaff watches. Whether your casting, climbing or shooting in the field, this unique crown placement on the left side of the case prevents the watch crown from digging into the wearer’s wrist offering supreme comfort during all outdoor pursuits.
The Field watch utilizes a brushed 316L surgical stainless steel casing, versus the titanium casing used with the Sportfisher models, offering a slightly different style crown and look. Along with being the first Hook+Gaff watch to feature numerals at the hour markers – as is the case with most traditional field watches – Hook + Gaff designed their Field watch with both the standard and “military” numerals on the dial. Gash Clayton, co-founder and designer of Hook+Gaff, designed the watch dials to be available in three unique colors – tan, gray blue, and navy.
Plus, the Field watch houses a highly sought-after custom Swiss quartz movement, as well as Swiss Super-Luminova™ illumination technology. This lights the watch hands and hour markers, with no additional battery needed to charge it – the Super-Luminova™ gains power from light, both natural sunlight and artificial indoor light.
Hook + Gaff presents this watch with the all-new interchangeable Cordura® strap, available in gray, black, navy, sand, olive, and orange for hunting. Cordura® is a registered trademark and patented woven nylon fabric.
