Dock-to-dock Autorouting wins SAIL’s 2016 Pittman Innovation Award

We’re proud to announce that Dock-to-dock Autorouting on the Navionics Boating app for iPhone and iPad has been named Overall Winner of the 2016 SAIL Pittman Innovation Awards. Every year, the award is given to the best and most innovative advancements in the industry. This marks the third award for Dock-to-dock Autorouting, following a Special Mention at the METSTRADE show in Amsterdam and the ADI-IBI Innovation Award at Genova Boat Show in 2015.

As SAIL editors stated, Dock-to-dock Autorouting represents a significant leap forward. A unique breakthrough in boating navigation, it quickly creates detailed routes even through narrow waterways and channels, based on chart data and nav aids on the Boating app. In addition, POIs (points of interest) nearby the destination like the harbor master, marinas and moorings, fuel stations, restaurants and bars, shops, taxis & launch services, repairs and dealers, appear automatically within the Autorouting menu, complete with phone numbers and other valuable information like VHF channels for marinas. With a simple tap, all the details of the arrival point are instantly highlighted on the map.

Coming in spring, Dock-to-dock Autorouting will be available also on Raymarine multifunction displays with a Navionics+Platinum+ or HotMaps Platinum chart card! If you own a Navionics Gold, Silver, HotMaps Premium card or even a chart card from a different brand, you can upgrade to Navionics+ at half price with Navionics Updates.

Download the free Navionics Boating app from the iTunes store and start a one week free trial to the overwhelming value of Navionics+ for your coverage region where you can experience Dock-to-dock Autorouting and other Advanced Features! Learn more.
