FOOTHILL RANCH, CA (July 12, 2025) – Designed in actions, lengths, and powers for fishing situations in ocean waters around the world, DAIWA USA takes the lead in introducing the new OUTRAGE XV saltwater rods at ICAST 2025. Globally tested and available in six spinning and nine casting models, the series includes general application jigging models focused on speed and standard jigging, light jigging rods for shallower water use, specially crafted slow pitch rods to target fish down to 1000 feet, along with a 7’ 9” popping rod for when pursuing upsized pelagics. |

“This continues DAIWA’s pursuit to be the number one rod brand anglers can rely on for any saltwater fishing situation, no matter where on earth you fish,” said DAIWA’s Field Marketing Manager, Chris Martin. “There are Outrage XV rods to slow jig for snapper off the U.S. East Coast and Gulf waters, to target monster trevally and grouper off Australia’s reefs, or using poppers and our new SALTIGA Cuddler for big tuna in the Pacific waters off Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico and Southern California.”
Outrage XV rods feature a graphite blank reinforced with DAIWA’s exclusive Braiding X graphite weave technology to add both strength to the blank and prevent twisting. “Anglers will quickly notice how they work their jig more effectively, plus the construction process keeps the blank light and durable for all-day fishing comfort,” added Martin.
Additionally, Outrage XV rods sport Fuji Tangle Free K-Guides to aid in preventing the line from wrapping around the guides while lifting and lowering the rod. Outrage XV rods also feature custom DAIWA reel seats to provide a solid grip, along with rock-solid security for the reel.
Within the Outrage XV spinning models, DAIWA offers rods ranging from 6’ 6” medium-heavy, heavy and extra-heavy power, 7’ 9” medium-heavy popping, and both 6’ 3” medium-light and 6’ 2” medium power, light jigging models.
On the conventional side, Outrage XV standard jigging models include a 6’ 6” medium-heavy and heavy power, 6’ extra-heavy power, and special 5 ’8” ‘extra-extra’ heavy for jigging super deep with jigs weighing up to 400 grams for grouper, snapper, and tilefish. For light jigging, there’s the 6’ 3” medium light and 6’ 2” medium power rods, while for slow pitch jigging, anglers have the choice of four 6’ 3” rods in medium, medium-heavy, heavy and extra-heavy power.
Martin suggests using the right size to match SALTIST star drag reels and SALTIST MQ spinning reels with the Outrage XV rods.
All the Outrage XV rods retail for $239.99 (USD). While at ICAST 2025, check them out at the DAIWA exhibit – booth #5630, or for more information, visit your local DAIWA tackle dealer, or view the DAIWA US website at https://DAIWA.us/collections/saltwater-rods/products/outrage-xv.
