ATTENTION Fishing Guides on Green Bay

If you are not a fishing guide operating on Green Bay during the ice fishing season, please disregard this letter.

Beginning the winter of 2016-2017 the Department of Natural Resources implemented guide reporting requirements for fishing guides operating on the Bay of Green Bay already established under NR 20.65 Report of Licensed Guides. This requirement is for Wisconsin waters of Green Bay during the ice fishing season only. If you anticipate guiding for fish on Green Bay during the winter, please be aware of the required reporting requirements. This information is very important to our management of several species of fish in Green Bay and will greatly supplement our standard creel survey program.

Available is one (1) Green Bay Ice Fishing Guide Monthly Report form [PDF] to initiate reporting. Please review the form and instructions on the back carefully. For more report forms contact me and I will send them to you immediately. Also available is a sample form [PDF] that has been partially completed for reference.

If you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your assistance in managing the fishery resources of Green Bay. We are looking forward to working with you.
