Dept. of Natural Resources announces Mountaineer Heritage Season .
In an effort to expand hunting opportunities, our WVDNR announced the inaugural Mountaineer Heritage Season, which will take place Jan. 10-13, 2019. The new white-tailed deer and bear season will be open to hunters using primitive weapons. As always, I applaud our WDNR for looking at ways to get more folks in the field. Having a season early in the year, or late in the season depends on how you look at it, is simply exactly what it is – another chance.
