NPAA members Greg Karch #138, John Van Norman #802 and Tim Euting #789 hosted a Youth Fishing Clinic at the Ice Breaker Sport Show at Critter’s Sports in Winneconne, Wisconsin on Sunday March 18th.

The event was kicked-off with a seminar called ‘Fishing Basics’ which covered; safety, details on open and closed face fishing combo’s, casting, fishing identification, knots, bait, parts of a fish and what Greg’s tackle box consisted of when he was a youth.

Youths then worked with the NPAA members to become better at casting with open and closed faced combo’s.  These youths were able to catch fish right on land using Backyard Bass.  After the event I even had parents come up and tell me they learned a tip or two.

Thanks to following; NPAA, Berkley, Plano, Northland, Off Shore Tackle Company and Critters who donated fishing goods and educational materials to be handed out to the youths..
