(Jan. 06, 2011 – Forestville, WI)… “Our organization is extremely enthusiastic about Yamaha becoming a Supporting Partner,” said NPAA Executive Director Pat Neu, “The ranks of Supporting Partners have grown significantly as industry leaders recognize the value of professionalizing the sport and working hard to introduce youngsters to fishing.” Yamaha, a hallmark outboard brand in the US market since 1983, recently underwent the largest product launch in its history. This included the new 20-inch V-MAX SHO in 200, 225 and 250-hp, and 4.2 L V6 Offshore in 225, 250 and 300-hp four-stroke outboards, in addition to the F70, two new portables, new rigging and new propellers. Also available are four-strokes from 2.5-hp to the only 5.3 V8 four-stroke F350 outboard, and select models of HPDI outboards. “Partnering with the NPAA is another example of Yamaha’s continued commitment to its Pro Staff, the sport of fishing and the industry,” said David Ittner, Tournament and Pro Staff Manager, Yamaha Marine Group. “We’ve got a great group of professional anglers on Yamaha’s Pro Fishing Team this season, and we are excited to get things underway. With the introduction of the VMAX SHO on the freshwater side and the new V6 4.2-Liter Offshore outboards on the saltwater side, these anglers are equipped with the most reliable and powerful outboards on the water.” Yamaha products are marketed throughout the United States and around the world. Yamaha Marine Group, based in Kennesaw, Ga., supports its 2,000 U.S. dealers and OEM partners with marketing, training and parts for Yamaha’s full line of products and strives to be the industry leader in reliability, technology and customer service. Yamaha is the only outboard brand to have earned NMMA’s C.S.I. Customer Satisfaction Index award every year since its inception.
